I would be SO scared of...

Jillian Michaels.

WOW. She was VERY harsh on some of the contestants tonight on the show.

I would be scared of her, but... she is awesome. I mean, she doesn't sugar coat anything.. she is always going to be honest with you. And, that is what the contestants need in order to see positive change in themselves. In the end, they are all thankful for her harsh honesty. But, in the moment...she acts like a real b*tch!

And while we are talking about bitches.....let's talk about TRACEY!! WHAT A B*TCH!!! JEEZ!

SO, I went to dance/step class tonight again. It was fun. Only 4 people showed up and that included my roommate and I. So it was kind of nice to get some more one and one with the instructor.

I was dying again by the end of it. Sweat dripping everywhere, face as red as a cranberry. People looked at me like, "Hmmm...is she okay? Does she need an ambulance?"

NO. I'm FINE! I'm sorry that all the blood rushes to my head after a hard workout!!

People ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS stare at me. On the treadmill, on the elliptical, at dance class... whatever it is... I am always stared at because of how red my face gets. I HATE IT.

Okay, so I am done venting about stupid stuff.

*Everyday.. I walk up 7 flights of stairs to my apartment. I do NOT take the elevator. Today, I was walking up to the 7th floor and overheard 2 girls saying that this was their first time in the stairwell and that they ALWAYS use the elevator. By the way.......they got off on the 3rd floor.

Haha.. so I'm thinking to myself... WOW... I live on the 7th floor and I take the stairs everyday! SO i felt good about myself. I also have noticed that I am not as winded by the time I get to floor 6. But, I still feel like death once I get to floor 7. BUT.. it takes less time for my heart rate to go back to normal. So that is good.

I was going to go to Turbo Kick tomorrow but my roommate is going to busy during the class... so I didn't want to go by myself for the very first time. Next week though, I will go.

I also tried to "cheer on" everyone that is part of the Biggest Loser Challenge...if I didn't cheer someone on, I will. My plan is to get to know/cheer on everyone in the challenge. I believe that support is SO important during weight loss. That is why I started this blog in the first place. So if I haven't cheered you on and you are part of the challenge, let me know!

Til next time,

Karla =)

Nothing Exciting..

So I really have nothing too exciting to blog about today. The only reason I am blogging is to make myself accountable for all the things I did today since I am part of the Biggest Loser Challenge. So here goes..

I was a little snacky today. But, I did workout for ONE HOUR at the gym.. doing the dance/step class.

I was dying after dance. You NEVER stop moving. Which is fabulous. I love it. YAY.

For dinner... I made a weird concoction. It was ground turkey, with chopped mushrooms and cheddar cheese sprinkled on top. It was REALLY GOOD, surprisingly. But, a weird combination.

Okay well... that is all. Can't wait for Biggest Loser tomorrow.. but for now.. it's Dancing with the Stars!!! =)

Til next time,

Karla =)

Some thoughts...

I have been thinking lately about thingsss. Like, my reasons for wanting to be healthy and lose weight. I get a lot of people always saying..."You don't need to lose weight.... Why do you complain about your weight, you're fine.. "

Family, friends.. it happens a lot. It keeps me questioning whether I should be losing weight... am I crazy.... am I not supposed to lose weight or something... hmm..

My reasons for losing weight are not because I think I'm huge or because I think I am hideously ugly or anything.

My reasons for losing weight are...

-I want to be healthier.
-I want to be able to feel better in tight dance costumes.
-I want to feel better when I dance.
-I want to be a Rockette one day.
-I want to be the best dancer I can be.
-I want to be the best me.

Didn't get to the gym today. Don't feel well still. I'm sore from my step/dance class. So, I decided to recover from my hovering cold and soreness so that I can dance tomorrow in my regular dance class.

The Biggest Loser was wonderful. They definitely beat Week 2 in the butt. They all were so happy when they beat that 150 lbs. It was awesome to see. I like Abby. Her story is so sad, yet she is still so strong. I also like the 19 year old blonde. Her name escapes me. But, she's an inspiration to me. =)

All for now,

-Karla =)

Feeling a little better..

**Later today I will post my picture and measurements for the Biggest Loser Challenge that I am doing that I spoke about yesterday. Like my button? -------------->

=)

It is still IMPOSSIBLE to chew food. This morning I had a WW muffin and had tears streaming down my cheeks as I tried to finish it. This canker sore on my tongue is a real pain in the a$$. There is no real way to get rid of them either. There are products out there that help the pain but I've tried most of them....seeing as though I get these canker sores at least twice a month. They are all gross gels and they do not relieve pain for very long. This thing needs to go away!

ANYWHO.. Yesterday I mustered up the energy to go to class. I almost passed out. I had the "passing out" sensation as I like to call it. I get all dizzy and very warm. Voices seem to get louder and louder and all I can think about it getting on the floor before I fall on it.

Luckily... I didn't pass out. I started feeling a bit better. I got up and left the class for some fresh air. Came back... stayed for the whole class and then even felt okay to go to my next one.

Yesterday was supposed to be my first day at my new gym. My roommate and I still went to sign up but decided it would be best not to workout since I wasn't feeling 100%. But, hopefully today............we will be doing .........DANCE!! WEEEE!!

FINALLY, A DANCE CLASS THAT I CAN TAKE DURING THE SCHOOL WEEK!!!! WAHOO!!

It meets Mondays and Tuesdays for one hour. We were going to do it yesterday but we will start today instead. Then tomorrow is either Zumba or Turbo Kick. Which ever we decide to do. Should be fun... I am looking forward to it.

Til laterrrr..

Biggest Loser Challenge and a Miserable Weekend..

So, I am doing a "Biggest Loser" Challenge that is being hosted by, Losing My Thighs. During the "Biggest Loser" season, I am going to try and lose 20lbs. OH BOY... We'll see how that goes..

I start at my new gym today =) That should help me out a little bit I think!! =)

It was a difficult weekend for me.

It started off great with 1 pound lost! Then I went to an elementary school to do some fieldwork in a Kindergarten classroom. Half way through the day, the Kindergarten teacher advised that I go home since I was sneezing constantly and just couldn't stop. I kept excusing myself to go to the bathroom. It was so embarrassing...

So, I get into my car to leave... and I sneezed about 20 times before I was actually able to drive the car safely home.

I got home and fell right into bed. I slept forever and then tried to have a good night with my boyfriend later when he came home. He is student teaching right now... so I never see him during the week. Friday is our time to be together and I ruined it by being sick and miserable. He ended up making dinner and cleaning everything up as I sat on the couch like a big blob. It was horrible. I even had to go to bed early so he had to leave.

The next day, I had planned on starting my project that is due today. But, I was way to sick...I couldn't even keep my eyes open. So, I slept again for half the day until my boyfriend was out of work. Then that night, we both had a 21st birthday party to attend. I went even though I felt like sleeping the day away. I mustered up a whole lot of energy and ended up feeling a little better once we got there. BUT.. I left real early because I was getting tired and I was slowly losing my voice. My throat felt like fire the whole night and it was good to get home to sleep it all off.

Yesterday I felt a lot better thankfully. I had to perform 3 dances with my dance class at the rehabilitation center that my elderly dance instructor is staying at. It was sad to see her and all of the other patients in wheelchairs...some with tubes hanging off of them. There was a 35 year old man in a wheel chair with 3 kids below the age of 10. He has Lou Gehrig's disease. (I think I spelled that right...) He is not supposed to make it through Christmas.

It was nice and very humbling to see them all smile when we performed. My dance teacher fell asleep though. She missed most of the performances. It was a very depressing atmosphere and I give so much credit to the nurses that take care of them. How horrible it must be to lose a patient that you have been caring for.

I am still sick. I have the world's biggest canker sore on my tongue which makes swallowing and chewing almost impossible. I am hoping this Monday will go smooth. I hate Mondays.

Sorry for all the complaining. That's just all I feel like doing because of this crappy cold.

I do have some good news up my sleeve but I'll save that for a later post when I feel a bit better.

Til then,

Karla =(

I got my motivation back!

I apologize for being a miserable, un-motivated pile of poo these past few days. The whole getting a new computer thing has slowed me down a bit. It just added to the stress that was piling up from my classes at school and such. I was also stressing about the lack of weight loss and lack of working out. But... as always, your suggestions and comments helped me. Thank you.

I came up with a solution, as I always do. Everything always works out one way or another.

SOLUTION TO LACK OF MOTIVATION= SIGN UP FOR A NEW GYM.

I had a heart to heart talk with my roommate (best friend) about my lack of motivation and blah blah blah...

Long story short... she and I both decided to check out a gym that is 15 minutes away from our school. The name of the gym is, "Fitness 4000" . We went there this afternoon and walked into the doors... We were very kindly greeted by a woman at the desk who said that she would be happy to give us a free tour of the gym. Man was it a nice gym!! They have millions of cardio machines, each with their own tv with cable and a cd and dvd player! All you have to bring are your own headphones! SWEET! They also offer tanning, steam room, sauna, showers, lockers, stretch rooms, weight lifting, 2 free personal training sessions with the membership and ..... CLASSES. YAY!

The only bummer is... the membership is 69.95 PER MONTH. YIKES! And for 3 months.. it's 199.95! DOUBLE YIKES!

BUT... it's a great gym. Seems very clean. They offer DANCE classes, ZUMBA, spin, turbo kick (which I have NEVER tried..), yoga, step, and body pump.

We both got the schedule for when the classes are offered and it looks like we are able to go to 1 class per day Monday-Wednesday. Then, I go home for dance on Thursday. So, that is a good 4 days of working out... (FUN working out too!)

YAY IM EXCITED!! I start on MONDAY!!! WOOHOO!!! YAYAYAY! =)

NOW.... I need to find... a job ... and not only a job... but a job that hires people who can only work on friday and saturday when I am home... OH BOY.

Until next time,

Karla =)

P.S. Thank you again for all of your comments. Really, I appreciated every one of them and am keeping them ALL in mind. Thank you. =)

What is up with me?

Calling all bloggers. I need help.

I have NO motivation. I had my weigh in and I didn't lose anything. Yeah.. I didn't gain either... but still I did not lose.

I AM on WW. Trust me. I am doing the WW thing. I am not really following the Wendi Plan.. but I am doing the points and everything. Except for on Fridays!

But for me... I have learned that JUST being on WW will NOT help me lose weight. I NEED to add exercise and I have NOT been doing that.

I need motivation.... uhhh... I am in a funk. I hate it. I wish I was doing more dance. I need to buy some dance DVD's or something.

Any suggestions or advice would be great!

I hope to be out of this funk soon. I need to lose the 10 pounds I gained over summer.

Til next time,

Karla =/

I am...

a Mac.

And I love it.

I have been a PC girl for so long. But, I have finally converted to the dark side. I bought a Macbook PRO yesterday. So far, I love it. Different, but I love it. =)

I went to my Aunt's beach house yesterday... it was awesome. Here are some pictures.

As soon as I have time... I will be back on here more regularly...

It is difficult getting used to this new computer.

Until then,

Karla =)

My Mom is making Chocolate Chip Cookies...

...and so far.. I have done VERY WELL resisting them.

Jeez I really thought that I would do A TON more cooking than I did this week. I just didn't get around to it. I have late classes on Wednesday nights...and then I come home on Thursday nights... and so my only night to cook was Tuesday because I had Monday off. So, I had SO many more recipes to post... but they will come later.

Tonight was my very first dance class of the season. Horray! I'm glad to be back. Dance cures all stress, all tension, all the bull that I've dealt with all week. It's all gone when I dance =)

But anyway, it was really really fun. I actually got this crazy idea.. that ONE DAY... I think I will post a video of me dancing for you all to see. Wouldn't that be fun? Because dance really is a HUGE part of my life and I would love for you all to see me doing what I love!!

As far as sticking with my WW points goes... I have done a pretty good job this week. I mean, the long weekend didn't help much because I usually give myself SOME treats on the weekends. Just because Monday was a day off for me doesn't mean that I should be lazy with WW though. I have a feeling that I'll be paying for that tomorrow when I step on the scale.

I really haven't worked out at all!! I am still just trying to get from summer mode to school mode and get into the swing of things with classes and all. I think this coming week I will start my dance DVDs that I usually workout to. Maybe even walk/jog a bit like I did last semester out on the track at my school. I really need to lose this stupid "summer weight" that I gained. Fingers crossed for tomorrows weigh-in.

***On a more solemn note... tomorrow is September 11th. It has been 8 years since the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the U.S. I was in 8th grade when it happened and it still hurts me today, as it hurts a lot of others as well. I remember sitting on my front porch and looking out onto the horizon and seeing the far, far off thick black smoke settling over the horizon from the attacks. I live so close to NYC and I remember being so afraid and fearful of the unknown. It's a day I'll never forget. In fact, my parents got engaged in the North Tower and it was a very special place for them. NYC has a special place in my heart as well for many reasons and it will be upsetting to watch tomorrow's annual ceremony at ground zero. It's a day that I reflect on how blessed I am. How proud I am of my country...the service men and women who fight for us. And a day to reflect on so many innocent people that lost their lives on that day.

Other than that...I am REALLY looking forward to the weekend because I am going to my Aunt's beach house to enjoy the last bit of good weather that we will have until it's winter. I am going to do some back-to-school clothes shopping too for winter/fall clothing since most of my winter/fall clothing does not fit.

Have a Happy Friday and a Fabulous Weekend!! =)

Til next time,

Karla =)

Two Things ..

First and foremost... my heart goes out to Brandi. She has an AWESOME blog. In fact, I gave her an award about a month ago for having such an inspiring and REAL blog. Anyway, she has a large group that supports her but one person decided to write an anonymous and hateful comment on her blog. I believe that blogs are about whatever their authors want them to be about. If people don't like it, then stop reading it. There was no need for the nasty comment. So, send Brandi some love. She needs it. =)

Now for my RECIPE!

It is from "Cooking Yourself Thin".

I am not going to post this recipe because it's WAY TOO long. But, it IS online at their website. In fact, here is the link if you think you'd be interested in trying it out.

Here is the name of it in my Cooking Yourself Thin cookbook. It's called, Pasta Bake with Sausage, Broccoli, and Beans. EXCEPT...I HATE BEANS...SO.. Mine was WITHOUT beans!!

Here is the mix that you mix into the pasta..

And here is the pasta and mix alll mixed up
With all the cheese on it.. (pasta, broccoli, turkey sausage, skim ricotta cheese, skim mozzarella cheese, romano cheese, garlic)
Baked at 375 for 25 minutes. YUM
Let me tell you......I KNOW, I KNOW... I always say this for MOST of my recipes that I make...BUT..... I have to say, THIS WAS AMAZINGLY GOOD. I LOVED IT AND RECOMMEND TO ALL!

And... it serves 8 and is only 8 POINTS per serving!!

Try it... love it... and let me know how it goes!!

Until next time...

Karla =)

Labor Day Parade

So I performed in the Parade today in my town. It was so much fun! I absolutely LOVE performing. I feel like I was born to perform. I feed off of the attention of the audience and LOVE the energy that I feel when everyone claps.

Below is my Aunt, Me, and my Mom.
Below is my Mom and I posing for a picture =)
Below is my BF and I.
My Aunt, Me, and Mom. <3
Below are my dance teachers at Lathrop School of Dance. Mrs. Lathrop is in the middle with of the woman in the red and the woman in the blue. The woman in the blue is blocking Mrs. Lathrop's face with her hand.I was in heaven walking down Main Street listening to the cheers of thousands of onlookers. I saw a bunch of my camp kids saying "KARLAAA!!!"

It is really humbling to see 9 and 10 year old girls from my camp recognize me and acknowledge me.

My dance teacher didn't look too good. The poor woman. She is 94 and has the heart of a 20 year old. She is so young inside. But she is really struggling health wise. I love her so much. She has been such an inspiration to me. It was hard to see her in such pain. I hope she will be okay, and that if it is her time to go, that she goes to God in a graceful, non painful way.

But, overall, the parade was a great time. It went so quick though, so I was trying to enjoy it.

Tomorrow starts another week. I have no classes on Friday's... so I just have a 3 day week!! YAY!! Dance starts on Thursday and I have so many recipe's to post! =)

Til next time....

Put a Smile On.....

...IT'S TIME TO PERFORM!

Yup! That's right! I have a dance performance tomorrow! YAY! I'm excited!

My dance school is walking in the Labor Day Parade in Connecticut where I live. We really won't be doing too much walking since we will be dancing most of the way down!

We get to do 32 counts of whatever we choose... therefore... everyone who comes to dance will be doing something totally different than everybody else. It actually looks kind of cool even though most would think it would probably look like chaos.

I am so excited and I already know what my 32 counts are going to be! Yeah.... I'm a little obsessive. =D

Anyway, I can't wait. My Aunt and Mom will be performing in it too since they both dance. And, my whoooole family will be watching the parade from lawn chairs at my brother's friends house. Luckily, he happens to own a house right on the parade route. So, it works out very nicely.

After I am done dancing in the parade, I will head over to his house and they will be BBQ-ing. I am sooo excited!

Mrs. Lathrop (my 94 year old dance instructor/owner of the dance school) has been in the hospital for several weeks with a blood clot. She is now doing much better and was released into a health care building for some rehabilitation. But....supposively... she is going to be in the parade as well. She usually rides in the back of a convertible and waves to the on-lookers.

SO...that is what I will be doing on my day off from school. =)

Hope you all have amazing holiday weekends for those of you who celebrate this holiday!

Until next time,

Karla =)

P.S. BE SURE TO CHECK BACK THIS COMING WEEK FOR RECIPES. I HAVE SOME YUMMY RECIPES THAT I WILL BE MAKING AND POSTING ABOUT THIS WEEK!! =)

Thank you!

I kind of wish that I could keep all of you in a little boom box or something so that when I need your support, I could just turn it on. Haha..

Thank you all for your support.

I do agree with you Brandi.. I should try out.

BUT..

I have been doing a lot of thinking. A.K.A.... I didn't sleep last night. Haha.
And I have come to a decision.

I love dance. I need to have more of it in my life. So, I checked up on the dance team (with every intention of trying out on Saturday)..........annnnd well.. they practice on Tuesday and Thursday nights. PROBLEM.

I have dance on Thursday nights.

SO...... I sulked for a little while. And then I thought... hmmm... I NEED to get more involved with my OWN dance studio. So I thought of becoming a dance teacher there. I thought and thought and thought.....and then I thought....hmm... that would mean I would have to commute back home a lot.... so what would be the point of living on campus?

Long story short.... I am not happy. And would love to be doing more with dance. So I think I might transfer to a school closer to home for the upcoming Spring semester. This way, I can commute, and live at home... I could also be a bigger part of my OWN dance school.

Oh.... AND.... the school that I would apply to..... THEY HAVE A DANCE TEAM!! ANNND.. one of my friends from high school is in it and she thinks I should definitely try out in January. YAY!!!!!!

It's amazing how things work themselves out.

I am feeling much better... don't know how to break it to the roommates yet...

but ... I need to feel better and I need to be happier... and I am happiest when I dance.

Whew.

OH, AND.... I lost weight! I lost 4 pounds... I am now at 172lbs. A good.. 10 pounds higher than at the beginning of the summer.. but at least not 14 pounds higher right??

Til next time,

Karla =)

I have a dream...

that one day.... I can be a Rockette!

Here is my dilemma... this dream seems way too out of reach. =(

Okay..so this post has NOTHING to do with the whole reason for this blog. I know..... I said I would stop going off on tangents with my posts and use this blog to talk about fitness and weight loss and stuff... but I need to vent.

So I had a long week at school. Lots of homework, tons of reading... and lately... I have been feeling like I want to change my major. I have not been happy with what I am doing and I have found myself sitting in class wondering... "WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING HERE???"

I am majoring in Elementary Education. It is a 5 year program. I am just beginning my 4th year. And I am now FINALLY realizing... OH SH*T.... maybe this isn't for me?

My passion is DANCE. I want to DANCE.

But, dance is not where the money is. And... well... I need money. And I would like to be able to live comfortably.

This dream of being a Rockette just seems more and more superficial.

People laugh when I say that one day I would love to try-out. Even my own parents/family. Although my BF and immediate friends do support me.

* So tonight, I had a conversation with my Mom that ended in tears. I broke down, telling her how all I do is sit in school ALL day and then come back to my apartment and do more sitting because I have homework. I am not doing what I love to do... dance. Yes... I am part of a dance school but I only dance once a week.

I found the perfect opportunity to dance with my college's dance team. But, tryouts are THIS Saturday and I don't think I will feel comfortable since I don't know ANYBODY.

I just wish I was dancing. I wish I was studying dance. I wish that one day, my dream of being a Rockette could become just a little closer to reality. It doesn't have to BE reality... but just ... close.

My Mom just reassured me that everything will be fine. That I should plug along with my major because one day, I will be glad for it.

And sure, she's probably right.

But it's not what I love. And, right now... I just know that I am NO WHERE near my dream. And I am not doing what I love. And I don't know what to do about it.

And that ends my sappy, feeling sorry for myself post. Yuck.

I'm back!!

Wow, I know.... I have been Missing In Action (MIA) lately. A LOT of stuff has been going on and I know that I was supposed to post about my Rockette Experience but just have not found the time. I have been overwhelmed with getting re-acclimated with school and such. So, that's my excuse...take it or leave it!!

So.......How was the Rockette Experience you ask??????

It was alright.

I know ...I know... you are probably all saying... WHAT?? JUST ALRIGHT???

And yes... it was just alright.

It's a long story. So if you want to read ahead... go for it. If not, it's okay, you won't hurt my feelings because I know it is LONG.

Here it goes.

For as long as I can remember... I have always always always had a HUGE interest in the Radio City Rockettes. I LOVED watching them and still LOVE to watch them on TV when they perform in the NYC Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. And of course I enjoyed their annual Christmas Show held at Radio City Music Hall. I know everything there is to know about a Rockette and the history of the Rockettes. I am Rockette crazy.

So, I was pretty darn excited to have been given such an awesome opportunity to go and see them and actually feel what it feels like to ACTUALLY BE ONE! So, I took the train into NYC with my Mom and Aunt. We hung around awhile in Times Square and found a place to eat. We looked a few stores and then anxiously waited outside of the Stage Door of Radio City Music Hall.

FINALLY... we were allowed inside the Music Hall. We were given "backstage passes" so that no one could question why we were there. We put our stuff down in the main room where the Rockettes practice. I was basically in heaven sitting in there and glaring at the mirrors, the numbered dance floor, and all the framed pictures of the Rockettes that lined each wall. It was a blessing just to be standing in that room.From there, we went on a Stage Tour of Radio City. Even though I was excited to dance with a Rockette, for some reason, I was even more excited for the Stage Tour. I had always wanted to see behind the scenes of the Music Hall. I had always wanted to stand on the stage and go down beneath the stage to see the Rockette dressing rooms. I COULD NOT WAIT!

Well, we started the tour and we were shown the costume room, which we could stare into but not walk into. We were shown the apartment where the old owner of the Music Hall used to live (he has since died and the music hall is under ownership of a corporation). And we were able to see the music hall from the audience's perspective up in the third mezzanine (the last row).... which I have seen before.
And...well.... there ends the tour. Yep... that was it. We NEVER stood on the stage...and we NEVER went to the dressing rooms and we NEVER saw "behind the scenes" like the website said we would. The tour guides excuse for that was "MTV is getting ready for their MTV music awards and the stage is now a "hard hat" area and is dangerous".

Great. Glad I paid 100 some odd dollars for this.

SO.. I got over it. And our Rockette teacher Melissa came into the practice room to get us stretched out. I loved Melissa. She was very nice and very professional. She was beautiful, tall, and slender. She was everything that I have been working so hard to be like for the past half a year. But yet... I was no where near the shape that she was in. Of course.. I know.... I don't dance for hours and hours everyday, so I obviously wouldn't be in the kind of shape she is in. I just ... wished I was.

Anyway... I know that there was obviously not enough time to learn a WHOLE ENTIRE dance from the Christmas show... but I was hoping to learn maybe half of one.

Well.. noo.. we didn't. We learned maybe 32 counts of a 2 dances. And then we learned how to do the kickline... which I thought was beneficial.

The 32 counts of jazz that we learned and the 32 counts of tap that we learned were difficult at first.. but I didn't feel challenged enough. And then the kickline was hard as well, and I felt more challenged with that because the Rockettes need to kick at eye level. I could maybe do 10 of them and then I really found it hard to keep my momentum.

But all in all.... I didn't feel like I was actually a Rockette.

Gosh...I don't know... maybe I am being too critical of the class. But, I was also the only 21 year old there. Every other girl was about 10 or 12 years old. So, I guess I just didn't realize what I was getting myself into because I felt as though the whole experience was geared towards younger dance students.

So, really... it was not at all what I thought it would be.

We were also supposed to get shirts that said "Rockette Experience" on them. I was excited for that so that I could always remember my experience as a Rockette. BUT ....they didn't have any for us. SO THAT WAS NICE.

I'm sorry... I just HATE IT when there are promises made and they aren't kept.

Although... overall.. I absolutely loved the Rockette that I worked with. She was an amazing dancer and has a very fun and bubbly personality. She was awesome. I just wish that she could coach me everyday.And as for my lack of blogging and commenting on all your blogs... I just moved back in my apartment at school on Sunday and then yesterday (Monday) was my first day of classes.. .and then today was also my first day of other classes. And I am already overloaded with homework... YUCK.

So, please excuse my slow-ness in commenting. I hope to be all settled in and having things under control soon so that I can continue to read your awesome blogs and also post in mine.

And please...don't get me wrong about my Rockette Experience... I am glad that I did it. I just had higher expectations for it. I am so glad I did it though, and I would be kicking myself if I didn't do it. I loved the dancing part of it and I loved the Rockette that I met. She was great, and I would meet with her again in a heartbeat.

Thank you all for your constant support with what seems to be such a far off dream of mine. I know it seems far-fetched that I want to be a Rockette and I thank you all for not laughing at me when I say that someday I would like to be one! I know that my body and mind are very far off from that point. Something that the experience DID teach me was that it takes not only a strong body but a VERY STRONG MIND to be a Rockette. You have to be tough and deal with constructive criticism. You are also away from friends and family members for long lengths of time. That is something that would be hard for me to deal with. I have a lot of growing up to do and I am so glad that all of you are with me on my road to being a healthier, thinner, and stronger person in both body and mind.

Thank you all for your constant support!!

Til next time,

Karla =)
